Security for prisons and correctional facilities
Escape attempts, wall climbing, smuggling over the fence and drones from the air: a correctional facility must keep its entire grounds in view without gaps, on the ground and in the air. The autonomous Arrow-401 LR surveillance drone and our drone detection system secure perimeter and airspace around the clock: detect threats early, document them as evidence and raise the alarm within seconds. AI-supported, with a VdS-certified control center and in a predictable rental model.

Why drones are becoming the new threat to prisons
A correctional facility must have a complete overview of its grounds at all times: walls, open areas, blind spots and the airspace above. Wall, fence, cameras and patrol leave gaps exactly here. Three weak points decide between security and incident.
Escape and wall climbing
Escape attempts begin with an unnoticed approach to the wall, scouting out shifts or climbing over at a blind spot. If unusual activity at the perimeter is not detected early, too little time remains to react.
Smuggling over the wall and from the air
Phones, drugs, SIM cards and weapons are thrown over the wall or delivered by drone with pinpoint accuracy to the yard and cell windows. A single smuggled phone is enough to coordinate crimes from inside.
Gaps at perimeter and airspace
Wall, fence, cameras and patrol secure individual points on the ground. Large open areas and the entire airspace remain unobserved. It is exactly in these gaps that approach, wall climbing and drone approach happen.
What our system takes over above the facility
Effective drone security for correctional facilities consists of two building blocks: monitoring the airspace without gaps and controlling the perimeter from the air. With us, both interlock.
Perimeter and airspace around the clock
The autonomous Arrow-401 LR surveillance drone flies irregular patrols over wall, yard and open areas and detects approach, wall climbing and unusual activity early. In parallel, a sensor network monitors the airspace for approaching drones. Ground and air from a single source.
Detect escape and intrusion early
AI-supported detection reports people at the wall, climbing attempts and unusual movement in the yard, by day and by night. That leaves time to react before an attempt becomes an incident.
Evidence and documentation
Every incident is logged without gaps: flight path, time, imagery. That creates a solid basis for reporting, prosecution and internal review.
Alarm chain to the control center
On detection, a defined alarm chain starts within seconds, to your staff on site and to the VdS-certified control center. Clear processes instead of hectic, even at night and on weekends.
Detect drones above the facility
A sensor network of radio, radar, optics and acoustics detects approaching drones early and, where possible, locates the operator on the ground. This makes smuggling and reconnaissance from the air visible before the cargo drops.
Legally compliant: active defense remains reserved for authorities
In Germany, actively jamming or intercepting drones is reserved for state authorities. Our contribution is seamless detection, localization, documentation and alerting, so that the responsible forces can act quickly and in a legally compliant way.

Why detection from several sources, not just one camera
A single camera or a single sensor can be bypassed. Only the interplay of several detection paths makes the airspace truly tight. We rely on sensor fusion for three reasons.
Radio-silent drones are detected too
Radio reconnaissance alone misses pre-programmed or autonomous drones. The combination with radar, optics and acoustics also detects drones that send no control signal.
360-degree airspace instead of a section
The sensor network monitors the entire airspace above the facility, not just the field of view of a fixed camera. No approach angle remains unobserved.
Early warning before the cargo drops
Early detection on approach provides the decisive seconds to react before the drone drops its cargo or reaches its target.
Three components for seamless airspace security
Our system is optimized for a high degree of automation. Software and sensor fusion work largely on their own. Three components interlock.

Detection sensors and Arrow-401 LR drone
Detection sensors and the Arrow-401 LR drone with redundant communication electronics and a large UPS. The sensor network monitors the airspace, the drone the perimeter. Off-the-shelf solutions lack this combination.

VdS-certified emergency and service control center
Alarms are handled by trained staff on site or in a VdS-certified control center. Essential for a high quality level and reliable processes, even during a power outage.

Flight Automation Center with AI
Our own secure software for flight automation and sensor fusion with intrusion AI. It evaluates the sensor data, plans irregular patrols and integrates existing technology such as cameras and motion detectors.
Drone security for correctional facilities as a full service
Buying sensors is not enough. Effective airspace security needs planning, approval, operation and clear emergency processes. We deliver all of this from a single source, in a predictable rental model.
150,000+ surveillance flights
Extensive experience in drone operations across all sites.
Initial consultation with security analysis
Free and without obligation, on site or remote.
Security concept (optional)
Multi-layer concept to raise the security level, including potential insurance savings.
Project planning & EU approval
Flight planning, alarm plan and approval across the entire EU, including Switzerland and Norway.
Redundant communication & UPS
So that detection and drone keep running reliably even during a power outage.
Installation of drone system & sensors
Integration with motion detectors, cameras and existing infrastructure.
Regular maintenance
We keep spare parts in stock and secure the availability of your drone surveillance permanently.
Proprietary software "Flight Automation Center"
Secure in-house development with intrusion AI for maximum detection quality.
Autonomous. Weatherproof.
Ready around the clock.
The Arrow-401 LR drone system launches on its own, when an alarm is triggered or at predefined patrol intervals. The system is fully operational at night, in wind or in sub-zero temperatures.
The rugged, VdS-certified drone is charged, protected and monitored in the integrated docking station. It handles climate control, telemetry and maintenance monitoring and thus ensures uninterrupted operation.
The result: less personnel effort, higher deployment frequency and significantly lower operating costs, especially for large, hard-to-see areas without permanent guard staffing.

The LEAG Group not only provides electricity and heat. We offer companies, cities and municipalities a wide range of other products and services.
For several months now, the Lusatian energy supplier Leag has been using several Security Airline surveillance drones in combination with artificial intelligence to monitor its industrial plants more effectively and protect them from theft and unauthorised access.

We offer burglary protection, convenience and automation, fire protection and security, and video surveillance. Everything integrated in one system.
Our sensors harmonize perfectly with Security Airline's drone system. After an alarm has been triggered via the infrared motion detectors, the surveillance drone flies fully automatically to the marked location and illuminates the area.
